District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Udalguri is a newly established state Government institute in Udalguri district situated in the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) area. Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) is an autonomous division in assam. It is made up of five districts including Udalguri. DIET Udalguri is located in Ambagaon, that is 9 KM towards west from District headquarters Udalguri.
District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Udalguri is a district level educational training institution for academic guidance of the schools at the grassroot level. It is going to be functioned very shortly for the benefit to a large section of people empowering them for the educational upliftment to lead a quality and meaningful life.
The main motto of the institution is to provide quality education and academic support to the elementary schools as well as resource support to the schools for the sustainable development of education and universalisation of elementary education. Its objective is also to impart education and training to all concerned officials in the district.
